Every year Soka holds an event called International Festival, which celebrates our multicultural world and international heritage. The event consists of exceptional performances from all around the world, delicious international food, booths with unique and locally sourced products, and so much more. Come join us this Sunday, May 5th from 10:30 am to 5:00 pm to celebrate Soka’s 17th Annual International Festival. If you’re still hesitant about whether or not to go, here are five reasons why you shouldn’t miss out on this incredible event.Â
1. Culture
What’s it called again? International Festival! Yes, that’s right. This is a festival dedicated to diversity and cultural appreciations! Come learn how beautiful different cultures are, eat ethnic food, and enjoy the colorful vibe this world is built on!
2. Performances
I mean, who doesn’t love constant free performances? And no, just because they’re free, does not mean they’re shitty. These are some mind-blowing musicians, dancers, and performers! Come watch cheerleading, salsa dance, koto performance, hula, and so much more!Â
3. Food
How do we even leave food out of the equation when we’re discussing a festival? We’re talking numerous professional local shops and vendors coming out to give you countless options of yum-yums! Don’t wait, because this mind-blowing cuisine won’t last long!
4. People
And of course, people are the best part of about IF. How often do we get together as a community to celebrate each other and our roots? Come talk and mingle, because the most fascinating part of anything is the people that it involves!
5. Soka University of America
Have you been to Soka? Because let me tell you, this is one of the most gorgeous campuses out there. Come roam the landscape of Soka, and you’ll see artistic buildings towering over the canyon, the beautiful blue fountain soaring towards the blue sky, and some breath-taking greens blanketing everything!
