The End of the Semester Truths by Parks and Recreation

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Sonoma chapter.

When you realize there’s only 4 weeks left, and all the projects/papers/exams you haven’t started yet are actually going to be due

Then the rush of determination hits you

And you reread all of your syllabi

And your study group won’t respond to your text messages

And you accidentally sleep through your 8am

And you wonder why you took an 8am in the first place

But you make it to the weekend

And your friend invites you to dinner

But then you remember you’re broke

Like, really broke

And you begin to break down because finals are approaching

And the last few weeks drag on

And the person who never goes to class asks you for the notes

And your roommate asks if you want to study in the library

And it kinda feels like your professors are doing this

But finally it’s Finals Week

And your mother asks you how you’re doing

And the person next to you in the library plays their music without headphones

And your classmate asks how you’re going to pass the class

And there’s only one more open table next to an outlet

And you decide to just sleep in the library

And you take your first final

But eventually, the semester ends.

Until Next Time…
