Cute Clothing Stores You May Have Never Heard Of

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at South Carolina chapter.

Hello retail therapy addicts! Everyone knows that boutiques are much more fun to shop from, providing your closet with adorable clothes that no one else has. However, if you don’t know where to look, it is hard to find boutiques and their websites, so we made a list of our top 5 boutiques for you.

Vernacular

This boutique describes itself as an east coast classic attire, with a west coast twist. The clothes are not too pricey and have a unique look to them. Vernacular is run by a husband and wife and began in 2013, with several locations throughout Ohio, one location in Atlanta, Georgia and one in Dallas, Texas.

Check out their site here.

Dakotas

The Her Campus team at South Carolina are big fans of Dakotas Boutique. Located in 5 points, we hosted our Galentine’s day bonding and promotional event at the boutique and, in partnership, Dakotas offered 20% off the store to all the attendees of our event.

Dakotas Boutique is owned and curated by a mother-daughter duo from Columbia, South Carolina. The clothing in the store is very trendy and fits a boho-chic vibe. Best of all, the boutique is reasonably priced and great quality.

Behind The Glass

Behind the Glass is a boutique of trendy styles in Auburn, Alabama. Although it is in a college town and quite popular among college girls, Behind The Glass has styles for all ages. From athleisure, to dresses, cards and candles, Behind The Glass has all you could imagine. The store is generally very affordable; however, it does offer Free People clothing which tends to be pricier.

Check out the website here.

Vestique

This company was started by two best friends primarily as an online boutique and now has nine locations within the southeast, including our very own location in Five Points. It’s likely that you have heard of this boutique if you are a student at UofSC, because it is a staple in many college girls’ closets. The store offers tons of different clothing items and accessories and does not limit itself to one style.

Adair Style Studio

Adair Style Studio has two locations in North Carolina, one of which is in Charlotte. This boutique has accessories, shoes, and of course great clothes. Adair appeals to many different styles with items ranging from boho to street style. This boutique is super affordable for college girls.

Go check out all of these websites, and don‘t blame us if your bank account is suddenly empty and your closet full!
