Name: JP Hovey
Age: 19
Major: Broadcast Journalism
Fun Fact: His birthday is on Christmas
Say hello to this week’s campus cutie, JP Hovey. JP is a Greenville native, who somehow manages to play both an intermural and a club sport – basketball and soccer – and lead with Young Life at Riverbluff High School. Not to mention the broadcast journalism degree he’s currently working on. Somehow he managed to spare some time to talk to little old us and here’s what he had to say:
What is your current favorite song? JP searched his iTunes library saying something about Kenny Chesney before deciding on, “Save it for a Rainy Day.”
What is your favorite movie? “Probably Inception,” but he really wants to see Martian because he says it looks like a sequel to Interstellar. “I like movies that make me think about life in different ways than I have before.”
What is your most embarrassing moment: “Last year I was going to talk to a girl in front of Patterson and I was coming out of Calcott and I was like, ‘Whatsuppp’ and I tripped and fell and scraped my hands and everything.”
What was the girl’s reaction? “She laughed, but I played it off and was like, ‘yeah, I know, I’m so smooth.” The man can laugh at himself…c’mon ladies! He’s a total catch.
What do you look for in a girl? “She’s nice, funny and definitely independent.”
In a perfect world, who would be our next Football coach? “Nick Saban.”
Has your Fantasy Football team won any games this week? “Nah I lost, but I’m 4-1.”
Can you name two Presidential Candidates? “Yeah…Ben Carson and Donald Trump.”
What’s a perfect job for you five years from now? “I either want to have my own radio show or be on TV with something to do with sports.”
