Looking for a fun way to kick off your semester aside from binge eating/drinking/watching Netflix?
Starting Saturday, January 16, the University of South Carolina will be hosting its 19th annual MLK Service days, where thousands of students will participate in volunteer activities around the Columbia area.
The first event will begin this Saturday at Davis Field at 8:30 a.m. and will last until 12:30 p.m. Lunch and transportation from campus will be provided.
Students can choose from 14 different organizations to volunteer for: from the Salvation Army, to the Carolina Wildlife Center, to United Cerebral Palsy, you will be sure to find an organization that is close to your heart.

Over 250 volunteers are expected to attend this year, as well as President Pastides and First Lady Patricia Moore-Pastides.
If you can’t make it this Saturday for whatever reason (i.e. binge eating/drinking/watching Netflix), don’t worrry: there’s another service day next Saturday, January 23.
So grab your friends and pick a cause; it’s a great way to help our community! Register for the service days HERE. And for more MLK week events, check the graphic below.
