This past Saturday, Five Points in Columbia held one of the largest St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in the Southeast. The 34th annual St. Pats in Five Points is meant to make everyone feel Irish for a day, and brings the diverse Carolina community together with over 40,000 people in attendance.
The day started off at 7:30 am with a 10K/5K Family Fun race, and was packed with non-stop activities until 9 p.m.
The festival featured live musical entertainment on four different stages showcasing a wide range of artists from Southern rock and punk band Isabelle’s Gift all the way to singer and viral video star Kimberly Henderson.
Tickets at the gate cost a mere $20 for a day full of fun and celebration. This event definitely had attendees feeling the luck of the Irish and the warmth of the community in which they live in. We can’t wait for it to come back again next year!
