Now that spring break is over (big sad), everyone’s mind is on one thing … SUMMER!

I know for me, I cannot enjoy summer without a perfect summer playlist to listen to on car rides, at the beach or getting ready to go out with friends. So, here are my top 5 songs you need on your summer 2023 playlist:

  1. “Crazier Best Friend” by Andi: Released on February 16, 2023, this song has been every girl group’s anthem. Andi describes her best friends’ love lives and implies that if you think they’re crazy, she will be their even crazier best friend if they hurt her. This song is so upbeat and fun — perfect for that windows-down car ride or a getting-ready song to lighten the mood. She is currently on tour, so if you love Andi and want to hear her sing this live, click here for tickers.
  2. “Last Call” by Will Linley: Do you know that feeling when you go out and the DJ tries to play the best song to end the night? Well this is the perfect song for that moment. Will’s song is so upbeat about it being the last song of the night and falling for a girl when he doesn’t want the night to end. His music video for “Last Call” was released three weeks ago with over 100k views so far, and it blew up on TikTok with millions of views. Check out the music video here.
  3. “Body Better” by Maisie Peters: Recognize her name? You should! She has been the headliner for Ed Sheeran’s recent tour, and she released her album, You Signed Up for This, in August of 2021 with her hit song “Psycho” that reached over 5.9 million views. “Body Better” is the headline of her upcoming album The Good Witch, which is coming out June 16, 2023. She shares her insecurities in her past relationship and how she feels about how that relationship ended and compared it to the one they had.
  4. “Queen of Kings” by Alessandra: This girl rose to fame through her experience on The Voice — Norway but became widely known from her song “Queen of Kings,” surpassing millions of views on TikTok as she was competing to represent Norway at EuroVision 2023. She has since won and will represent them in May 2023 in Liverpool for the competition. Her song is all about women empowerment, showcasing all women can be powerful and strong.
  5. “If We Ever Broke Up” by Mae Stephens: This girl took over TikTok with her hit song “If We Ever Broke Up, which has been released for over a month and is still all over my for you page, hitting 7 million streams. This song is perfect for vibing on the beach with your friends, or even after a hard break-up to help you still have the best summer ever.
