What are you going to do this Christmas?
We’re rapidly approaching the end of semester one, and although that means exams, it also means five whole deadline-free weeks. Amazing! So what are you going to do? Well it’s winter time, so of course that means skiing! Whether you are a beginner or pro, St Andrews Snowsports (SAS) is heading to Val Thorens from the 17th to the 24th of January. Knowing SAS, this will be six days of adrenaline-fuelled fun, with emphasis on the après-ski. If this sounds like your thing, be sure to check it out.
If you’re more of a surf-bum, St Andrews Surf Club’s annual trip to Morocco is taking place at the end of January and is the perfect way to escape the cold British weather. Golden beaches, blue waves, cocktails and buff surfing guys…what’s not to like?
If you prefer your holidays more relaxed, Christmas is the perfect time to hang out with family and friends, put up fairy lights and listen to Michael Bublé. Personally I like nothing more than to wander aimlessly round a Christmas market whilst snacking on roast chestnuts and wearing hideous Christmas jumpers. Edinburgh Christmas Market is absolutely beautiful and is a great way to celebrate finishing exams, or take a cheeky revision break. Whatever you’re doing over winter break, make sure it includes mince pies, mistletoe and mulled wine. Oh and be sure to listen to Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas” at least once a day. Even when it’s January.
