Restorative Practices located at Akins High School. I develop relationships with troubled kids and staff and create a space for conflict management between them.
Why did you choose St. Ed’s?
I knew I wanted to be in Austin and once I took a tour of St. Edward’s, I didn’t apply to any other school!
What is your favorite thing about St. Ed’s?
Everywhere you look on campus is beautiful.

What is your role in YoungLife?
I am a multicultural/urban volunteer leader at Akins High School.
How has YoungLife impacted your life?
It has brought me the joy and renewal that God promises and gives me a vessel to share that joy with lost high school girls.
How have you impacted the lives of others through YoungLife?
I am able to walk alongside my high school girls through some of their toughest years. I get to dive right into their hardships and proclaim the truth and hope that is Jesus Christ.
Who do you serve in YoungLife?
I serve the community that is South Austin.
How has YoungLife impacted your faith life?
It has stripped away my preconceived ideas of the church and made me realize that I’m imperfect and that’s okay. I’m more than enough for Jesus and He will chase after my heart regardless of how I live my life. I think it also pushes me to do ministry at all times to everyone I’m surrounded by.
How has YoungLife helped you grow in your faith life?
It has helped me learn a lot more about the Gospel and di e deeper into it because its one thing to learn about it on your own but to be able to share it with others and teach them really tests your knowledge.
