This year’s Fall/Winter New York Fashion Week was jam-packed with various fashion events and parties. Let’s break down some of the famous designer collections and their astonishing looks.
This week, we were blown away by Tory Burch’s collection of bright colors and fabrics. This past Monday, Burch presented her collection through a deconstructed classic style of femininity and deformity. Burch stuck to the neutral colors of olive, navy, tan, and black, but added pops of bright red, lime green, and metallic. Most of the looks displayed asymmetry in the lines of the blazers, skirts, belts, sleeves, and blouse cuffs. Burch wonderfully presented the themes of distortion with his mix of casual colors and fabrics.
Coach’s collection was immaculately done with their leather and denim pieces. Just like Burch, the show first displayed muted colors of browns, blacks, and grays, then presented a more colorful palette of metallic lime green, sheer purple, and bubblegum pink. The creative director of Coach, Stuart Vevers, aimed for effortless looks to be presented on the runway.
Lastly, my personal favorite Michael Kors promoted a different look, focusing on body and silhouette. Kors put together a collection of revealing pieces as he swept away from the brand’s dressier, traditional looks. Some of his pieces included minidresses, long skirts, and bodysuits. Kors made unforgettable fashion statements through the sensual vibes of the body-hugging knits – pieces you can’t find elsewhere.
All three of these designers stunningly presented their collections in a new direction of different elements such as bright, colorful, asymmetric, and alluring details. This New York Fashion Week brought together several creatives and designers of the fashion industry to put together new collections, galleries, and outstanding runway shows of artistic and glamorous pieces.
