Black Female Artists (and Business Owners) To Support

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at St. Law U chapter.

Today is Monday, February 01, 2021. Today is the first day of Black History Month.

As an online magazine with an ever-growing audience, the St. Law U Her Campus chapter has dedicated this week to publishing articles to amplify Black voices and support the Black community.

We are committed to not letting our activism efforts stop short after this week. These efforts should not stop at the end of this week, nor should they stop after February 28th, 2021. We encourage our readers and social media audiences to continue (or even start) using their voices and resources to join us in supporting the Black community.

This year marks the 95th annual celebration of Black History Month, and the first celebration was on February 7th, 1926. I highly suggest you take the time to learn more about Black History Month and Black Culture. You can start by reading these two infographics by the Impact and Zenerations.

To begin the first day and week of Black History Month, I am excited to share with you a few Black female artists, some of whom are business owners, that I found through Instagram that I think you should follow. Don’t forget to check out their online stores!
