One of my favorite past times when I return home for break is tasting all of the yummy Starbucks drinks released during my absence. Sadly, as I’m sure many of you are upset about it, there is no local Starbucks in Canton, NY. Although I love Dunkin’ (my go-to order is a medium iced coffee with oat milk and a sweet n’ low), I miss Starbucks terribly during the school year. I love searching the app to check out new releases and discovering what tasty coffees I can anticipate ordering next time I travel home. I will share some of my preferred featured Starbucks drinks with you that you should order next time you get the chance!
Honey Almond Milk Cold Brew
I am lactose intolerant, so I prefer to stay away from dairy when I can. Starbucks has been hoping on the dairy-free train in recent years, which has benefited my situation. This featured drink just got released a few weeks back and is delicious. I am a ride-or-die iced coffee drinker, so for me, this is still a fantastic winter drink. The honey provides the perfect touch of sweetness, and the almond milk makes the cold brew nice and creamy. Super simple, yet absolutely delicious!Â
Honey Almond Milk Flat White
If you prefer to drink hot coffee during the colder months, this drink is an excellent match for you. But, for all you iced coffee connoisseurs, don’t fret because this also comes iced! I am obsessed with Starbuck’s flat whites because they are so rich and creamy. Even better, this option is also dairy-free, but you would honestly never know. I like ordering this featured drink as a midday boost when I’m craving something a bit sweet. This is an excellent afternoon treat!
Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew
I LOVE this featured Starbucks drink, but many of my friends think it’s too heavy. However, I choose the tall size of this order and replace the vanilla sweetener with the sugar-free version. When buying the Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew, I usually pair it with a Venti Iced Americano (my all-time favorite) to dilute the heaviness. In my opinion, this drink is delectable and is worth the stomach ache!Â
Salted Caramel Cream Cold Brew
Although I don’t order this drink regularly, this is truly a 10/10. Not only does this drink get my brother’s approval (which means something because he is VERY picky when it comes to coffee), but I am pretty sure everyone I know that has tried this drink is similarly in love. This version is similar to the Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew, but something about the caramel has people raving. I still prefer the vanilla option, but considering most people beg-to-differ, maybe try this one first.Â
Iced Coconut Milk Cascara Latte with Starbucks Blonde Espresso
This order is always a crowd-pleaser. Unfortunately, it is not always available on the menu, but I always select it when it is. Once again, you can get this drink hot, but I think the iced version complements the flavors so well. I am also a huge fan of Starbuck’s blonde espresso, so it is a no brainer as to why I like it so much. If you’re dairy-free like me and struggle to find tasty lattes, you should give this one a shot!
Peppermint Mocha
If you know me, you know I love anything peppermint and chocolate. When those flavors combine, my taste buds go crazy. I have loved Starbuck’s Peppermint Mocha for more years than I can count, so when this product is released every November, I go running to purchase it. Interestingly, I have found that people prefer this drink with an almond milk base, so if you have yet to try that version, you should give it a shot. Of course, I deter anyone from skimping on extra whipped cream and chocolate shavings! As you can probably tell, I am pretty terrible at staying away from dairy!
This list is just a small selection of Starbuck’s coffee creations, but these yummy drinks are a great place to start in your taste-testing journey. Let me know if you also like any of these orders and what I’m missing from my list. Happy sipping!Â
