Being stuck at home has brought me to a new level of boredom, but it has also brought me to my favorite room in the house, the kitchen. Baking has always been one of my favorite activities and I have recently found myself with ample time to do it. Over the years I have tested countless recipes, and here are my favorites that you should give a try!

1. Banana Bread Muffins

Banana bread muffins are my all-time favorite thing to bake! For this baked good, you can pretty much use any standard banana bread recipe that you would like, but I included the link to a good one. My secret is to add a bag of the Nestle Toll House Semi-Sweet mini chocolate chips. This makes them extra chocolatey and delicious! Make your favorite banana bread recipe, add in chocolate chips, separate into muffin tins, and pop them into the oven for about 18 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit and you will have the best banana chocolate chip muffins!

2. Piña Colada Zucchini Bread

If you have a garden with a zucchini plant, you know that once they start growing, you have an endless supply of zucchinis coming through the door. With zucchini season coming up, this is the perfect recipe for you to use up those zucchinis and create a tasty bread! Zucchini is great for baking because you can’t taste it. It makes your bread super moist, and it adds a little bit of healthiness to your recipe. Start out Piña Colada season with this delicious zucchini bread, and remember it’s five o’clock somewhere!

3. Peanut Butter Hershey’s Kiss Cookies

I recently made these cookies when I found I had an abundance of Hershey Kisses in my cabinet. Within a few days, my family finished them! These are delicious because the peanut butter and chocolate go perfectly together. This recipe is super easy but makes it seem like you put in a lot of effort in with the added Hershey’s Kiss on top. Definitely give these a try if you are sick of your everyday, average chocolate chip cookie!

4. Peanut Butter Cheesecake Brownies

If you are looking to spice up your brownies, this is the recipe for you. I found this recipe on the back of Baker’s Chocolate and it did not disappoint. Just remember that because you are baking both brownies and cheesecake, this recipe might take longer than the others. Insider tip: put them in the freezer, frozen brownies are the best!

5. Seven Layer Magic Bars

Seven-layer bars are a staple baked good in my household. This is the easiest recipe of them all and does not require a lot of effort. Usually, I leave a small section of them without coconut for the coconut haters in my house, but feel free to make this recipe on your own! They are super delicious and one of my favorite desserts.

With all of the time we have on our hands, baking can be a great way to have some fun and help to de-stress from everything that is going on in the world. You should definitely give some of these recipes a try. There is nothing better than the sweet reward of a tasty treat after baking!
