When you buy a new eye shadow palette, there usually is a diagram explaining where to apply each color. Apply the lightest color under the eyebrow, the darkest in the crease, etc. Let’s break the rules. Here are some eye shadow shapes that work for your eye shape!
Â
                  Â
If your eyes are set close together, apply the darkest shade to the inner corner of your eyes.
Â
If you want your eyes to appear bigger, apply that dark shade to the outer corner. Here are two ways to do that:
Â
First, a cat shape on the outer corner of the eyes is dramatic, and it “lifts” eyelids.
Â
Second, smudged outer corners are great for hooded or deep-set eyes, because the eye shadow is more visible. I think, however, that it is appealing on all eye shapes.
Â
Finally, some people refer to this as a banana shape, but it reminds me of a boomerang. It makes your eyes look longer.
