Name:Â Claire Cummins
Year of graduation:Â 2015
Major/concentration:Â Women’s and Gender Studies
Favorite place to study:Â Regents, especially by the big salt water fish tank. I LOVE when it turns all blue at night.
Favorite food: Spaghetti. But it has to be really, really good spaghetti. And ice cream.
Favorite movie:Â Pulp Fiction. I love the dark humor, character development, phenomenal dialogue, and their sensitivity to subjects like infidelity and sexual assault.
Favorite Fall Activity:Â Spending time planning to knit things, and going out of my way to crunch leaves.
Hobbies:Â Volunteering with TreeHouse (an organization that works with at-risk youth), playing guitar, talking about Breaking Bad, emailing my grandma and putting things in my amazon shopping cart and continuing to contemplate buying the items that are currently in it.
Campus Activities:Â Students for Reproductive Rights, Chapel Choir, being a tour guide and receptionist for admissions, and catering for Bon Apetit.
After St. Olaf I would like to:Â I would love to work for Planned Parenthood to reduce unwanted pregnancies and infections in youth in urban areas.
Proudest Moment/Greatest Achievement:Â Being the campus celebrity on Her Campus.
What do you want the ladies of St. Olaf to know:Â TreeHouse has a mantra that they say at the end of every meeting that is so meaningful, so true, and something that I think everyone could benefit from keeping with them: You are lovable, capable, and worthwhile; you are loved without strings, and you are not alone.
