Cooking on Campus: An Assortment of Holiday Recipes

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at St Olaf chapter.

Instead of making a recipe for this week’s blog, I decided to compile a list of great Christmas recipes that will be easy for you to do at home with your family. I know everyone has their favorite cherished family recipes, but every once in a while it is fun to try a new recipe. Who knows, you might like the new recipe so much that you add it to your normal Christmas repertoire!

Dulce De Leche-Chocolate Bars

These bars have a cookie like crust with a caramel filling topped with swirled, Christmas colored chocolate. The caramel filling makes these bars sound heavenly.

Cinnamon Bun Popcorn

Another great flavored popcorn recipe, this popcorn looks delicious because of the cinnamon and pecans, and my favorite almond bark drizzled on top.

Peppermint Marshmallow Dips for Hot Chocolate

I have seen these marshmallow dips online various places and have been curious to see how they turn out. This recipe looks great because of the crushed candy canes. Would make a perfect recipe for a snowy, winter night!

Variety of Christmas goodies!

This website has ten or more delicious Christmas recipes. From fudge to sugar cookies, this website has ideas for every taste. Among my favorites are the Mint Chocolate Delight cookies and the Candy Cane Blossoms.

I hope everyone has a great Christmas Break & Interim! I will be back with more dorm friendly recipes the second week of spring semester.
