It’s fall y’all!
And with this season comes everything-flavored pumpkin, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and of course, caramel apples. This classic treat has a good mix of sweet and healthy, and best of all, they are easy to prepare. You can make it yourself or with your friends!
You will need:
- Your favorite soft caramel candy
- Butter
- Heavy cream
- Pot and a spatula
- Apples
- Knife
- Any topping of your choice (peanuts, chocolate chips, etc.)
Directions:
- Over medium heat, melt the butter in your pot. As you are waiting for the butter to melt, unwrap the caramel candies then add them to the butter, stirring constantly. After the caramels melt, add your heavy cream to the mixture and stir constantly.
- After making the caramel, cut the apples into wedges and dip them, halfway, into the caramel sauce. This will make the apples easier to hold, and will keep the caramels away from your hands when you eat them.
- Finally, dip the caramel covered apples into the topping(s) of your choice! You can eat them as soon as you finished decorating them or save them for later. Either way, it’s really good.
