Meet Natalie Kolasa! Class of 2018
Where are you living this year?
Mohn Hall
How are you involved on campus?
I am involved in res life as the Mohn Hall BA (building assistant). Basically, what I do is manage the front desk of Mohn and work alongside RAs and JCs to ensure that dorm life is a great experience. It is a great way to meet new people and an experience that I am so glad I chose to do.
I also am a part of Student Senate as the Mohn Hall senator. Though I know nothing about politics, it is a super cool experience to be able to sit in on meetings and learn about what is going on around campus.
What is the best thing you’ve learned during your time at Olaf?
Take some time for yourself!!! Whenever you are feeling super stressed out or unable to handle school, go for a walk out in the natural lands…. bake a cake.… people watch in the cage… etc. It seems silly, but it really does work.
What is your favorite part about spring at St. Olaf?
When it gets warm enough for people to start bringing out their hammocks!!!
Favorite Prof?.
Professor Morisette (Sandy!!). She is super passionate about what she teaches and has this amazing energy, even during 7-10 PM night class. She is the person that made me excited to become a nursing major.
Celeb crush?
Chris Evans <3
Any advice to the younger students?
Start studying early and stay on top of your work. Nothing is worse than cramming a months worth of material into your brain in one day…
Where is your favorite place on campus?
Lib 5th floor, early morning. It’s so empty and quiet and I love it.
What is your major?
Nursing
