Campus Celebrity: Allie Liboski

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at St Vincent chapter.

This week’s Campus Celebrity is Allie Liboski, a senior marketing major and management minor here at Saint Vincent College and a captain of the women’s volleyball team. Liboski is very hardworking and friendly, she is a great role model for underclassmen.

Birthday: July 8, 1994

Hometown: Indiana, Pennsylvania

Activities: Women in Business, APB, Orientation Committee, S.W.A.G (Campus Ministry), and SAAC representative.

Her Campus (HC): What made you want to play volleyball here at Saint Vincent?

Allie Liboski (AL): “First of all, I fell in love with the campus and the small community feel. In choosing SVC, it was an added bonus to be able to continue to play the sport that I love.”

HC: How long have you played volleyball? (How many years?)

AL: “This year is my tenth year playing volleyball. I started playing in seventh grade, but at first I wasn’t interested. My friend encouraged me to try out and ever since then I have loved it.”

HC: Being a captain, what do you do to motivate your team?

AL: “I try really hard to lead by example and encourage my teammates to give 110 percent all the time. I also try to be someone they look up to and feel comfortable talking to on and off the court.”

HC: How do you juggle volleyball, school, and other activities?

AL: “Time management is key, especially in college. Sometimes it is difficult balancing everything, but I try to focus on getting my schoolwork done first and foremost.”

HC: What are your plans for after college?

AL: “I would like to obtain a successful job at a marketing firm that works with various clients on different creative and innovative projects and campaigns.”

HC: What advice would you give to underclassmen or incoming freshmen?

AL: “Get involved on campus as much as you can. Saint Vincent is a small school and you will make the most of your college experience by getting involved with various activities.”

HC: What is your favorite part about being a student at SVC?

AL: “I really love the small campus setting and being able to see a familiar face everywhere I go.”

HC: What is your favorite memory thus far at Saint Vincent?

AL: “Definitely the Campus Ministry Service Trip to Brazil that I went on last Spring Break. The experience was so rewarding being able to work with kids and families from a different lifestyle and culture than what I have previously have known. They taught me more than I could ever imagine teaching them.”

HC: If you could trade places with anyone for a day, who would it be and why?

AL: “Definitely, 100 percent Taylor Swift. I think she is extremely genuine and I think it would be cool to live the lifestyle of a celebrity for a day.”

HC: What is a fun fact that not a lot of people know about you?

AL: “I can rap almost the entire Pink Friday and Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded album by Nicki Minaj.”
