Campus Cutie: Dylan Pietrantoni

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at St Vincent chapter.

In Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania, a town just alongside the Monongahela River, you can find the home of Dylan Pietrantoni. Dylan, otherwise known as DP, was a late Christmas present to his family due to being born just three short days after Christmas. Growing up, DP was bestowed with the basic morals that any young man should be equipped with: respect, consideration, and loyalty. As a St. Vincent sophomore biology major, DP is committed to his schoolwork and when he is not doing schoolwork he can be found on the pitcher’s mound or in the gym. What you may know about Dylan is his outgoing personality, but what you may not know is that he is also currently in search of that special someone who could potentially turn into the Mrs. Pietrantoni.

Her Campus (HC): What type of girl are you looking for?

Dylan Pietrantoni (DP): “I am looking for a girl who has her priorities in order, knows what she wants in life, and is willing to do anything to achieve that. I want a girl who is a hard worker, but also knows how to have fun.”

HC: What is one thing that girls don’t already know about you?

DP: “I really enjoy cooking. I like being able to cook a meal that not only tastes good, but is also good for you.”

HC: What is your go-to date?

DP: “Family is really important to me. With that being said, I would start the date off by going to pick up the girl and meeting her family. After that, we would go to dinner and then go to PNC Park to enjoy a baseball game. After the game we would go to Mount Washington to overlook the city, and then end the night with a long walk by the river.”

HC: What do you think is the single most important thing for a relationship to be successful?

DP: “Trust. You can’t give someone your whole heart if you aren’t able to trust them completely. If you don’t have trust in a relationship, it limits the distance of how far you can go with someone.”

HC: What is your biggest turnoff in a girl?

DP: “Whenever the girl is constantly on their phone while we are hanging out. This really limits the ability to get intimate with them while spending quality time together. I want to be with someone who makes me forget about my phone and I want to be able to be that person for her in return. Also, I want to be with a girl who has a hearty appetite. You don’t have to act formal in front of me.”

HC: What is your biggest downfall?

DP: “I am extremely forgiving and I may even be considered as a push over. I come from a family where you always do things for other people and in some ways I may take that to an extreme. I think I may need to learn when to stop doing things for people who take me for granted and no longer return the favor.”

HC: Do you believe in love at first sight?

DP: “Yes, I can’t say that I have experienced it thus far but I feel that when you find the right person your heart knows before your head does.”

HC: What are your thoughts on marriage?

DP: “I believe that when I decide to make that commitment with someone divorce is not an option. Marriage is one of the most sacred things on this earth, and I feel that you should fully know a person before you decide to make that commitment. You need to be able to solve problems with your significant other and learn how to work through your differences before deciding to spend the rest of your life with that one person. Marriage shouldn’t be a job; you should want to come home to the love of your life at the end of the day.”

HC: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

DP: “I hope to have my life in order with an established career, three kids, and living on a comfortable income. That being said I would love to be able to come home to the love of my life and find happiness in simply spending time with my family.”
