These rankings come from Forbes’ list of the ten richest women in the world that was posted earlier this year. No matter the wealth, these women are all inspiring in their dedication and advocacy for women.

 

10.) Kwong Siu-hing – $15.1 billion

Kwong is in control of Sun Hung Kai Properties, which is the largest property developer in Hong Kong. She is ranked #5 out of 50 on Hong Kong’s richest list.

9.) Gina Rinehart – $15.2 billion

Gina took over her father’s bankrupted estate and built an empire out of it. The Australian woman continued the family business, Hancock Prospecting. It is a mineral exploration and extraction company that mainly focuses on iron ore.

8.) Iris Fontbona – $15.4 billion

Iris is the widow of Andrónico Luksic Abaroa, who continued to build their fortune until his death from cancer in 2005. He was the founder of a mining company, Antofagasta PLC, and also a beverage company. Iris is also the owner of a stake in the Chili-based company Quiñenco.

7.) Abigail Johnson – $15.6 billion

Abigail is the president and CEO of Fidelity Investments and has been since she took over for her father in 2014. Along with this, she is chairman of her grandfather’s company, Fidelity International.

Laurene is the accomplished founder of the social impact organization Emerson Collective as well as College Track. She is also well-know because of her marriage to the late Steve Jobs, the CEO of Apple.

Susanne was left almost 20% ownership of BMW from Herbert Quandt, who was married to her mother. She hold stakes in German companies and is the owner and deputy chair(wo)man of Altana.

Yang was the inheritor of over half of Country Garden Holdings, a Chinese real estate developer. She is involved with Bright Scholar Education Holdings, where she is a chairwoman.

Jacqueline owns 1/3 of the candy company Mars Inc. After working for the company for many years, she is now a philanthropist serving on a multitude of boards.

We all know what Walmart is. Well, Alice’s father Sam was the founder. She is very fond of art, so she opened the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Kansas to showcase pieces.
