First off, thank you for taking the time to check out Her Campus St. Vincent. This is our third year on campus and we are so excited to make it better than ever! If you are reading this as a freshman or transfer student, this article will help you realize how awesome Her Campus is on our campus. If you’re a returner, this will just be an awesome reminder.
Who We Are
Her Campus Saint Vincent is a part of the National Organization Her Campus. The organization is home to hundreds of college chapters all-across the world! How lucky are we to have one on our campus? Her Campus supports the personal and professional development of women (and men, too). At Her Campus Saint Vincent, our vision is to empower the women of our college by allowing them to express themselves through publishing techniques in order to help promote professionalism and serve as a stepping stone for one’s future career.
A Little History
3 years ago, Kaura Bassegio C’16, founded the chapter at Saint Vincent. She also was the Campus correspondent for a year and a half! Her vision of the chapter was to allow the women of our campus to prosper in their professional development while having fun and being creative. The founders of Her Campus, Windsor, Annie, and Stephanie, started the company in September 2009. Their story is awesome, we suggest you check it out at this link: http://www.hercampus.com/meet-founders
What We Do
Her Campus Saint Vincent embodies the Benedictine values that Saint Vincent uphold in the highest regard. We have countless community service projects, while focusing the majority of our service within our own student body. Writers and social media members are those sharing their own personal opinions with articles published weekly
How You Can Be Involved
We think Her Campus is something everyone should be a part of, that includes you! Our chapter is always looking to expand our team. If you’re interested in learning more, please email st-vincent@hercampus.com or juli.cehula@stvincent.edu to find out how you will be a perfect addition to our team. We are always looking for writers and general members to help us make HC St. Vincent even better.
One last thing before we sign off; We want to thank you for letting us be a part of yours and our family here at St. Vincent. We know how close knit the bearcat family is and to be a part of as a leading organization on campus means a lot. Your opinions and ideas are always of value to us. We look forward to seeing you at our events this semester.
HCXO!
