Fall means it’s time to break out the scarves, boots, oversized sweaters and fuzzy socks. I know I have some great memories of the autumnal season: raking leaves with my family, hayrides, apple picking and most importantly— pumpkin picking. Pumpkins are forever the mascot of the fall season and rightfully so. There are an endless amount of things you can do with them between making pumpkin pie, roasting pumpkin seeds, making pumpkin bread and most importantly carving! I know we are all obsessed with going to the patch and taking cute pictures with the squad, but what about after? If you’re at a loss with what to do with your pumpkin, have no fear. Here are some cute pumpkin carving and decorating ideas I found that will be sure to impress all of your friends!

This is most definitely the pumpkin I will be making when I go picking. It’s cute, fun and girly. What more can you want, right? With this elegant design I will be keeping it in my gold themed dorm room! What about you?
Disney Pumpkin

This pumpkin is perfect for the Disney fanatic. You all know who you are. The person that can’t watch a Disney movie without quoting the lines or singing along, but embrace the pumpkin decorating by adding a touch of Disney and you will for sure be the most unique.
Animal Pumpkin

Perfect for the animal lover, design after any animal you want or maybe even pay a little homage to your own pet. I know my animal crazy friends will take this and run. They will be sure to carve cats, dogs, birds and more. Be creative!
Classic Jack O Lantern

Okay, so maybe you’re like me: pretty untalented in the pumpkin carving/decorating area. There’s nothing wrong with carving a basic face on your pumpkin. Sometimes, the classics are classics for a reason. You can’t go wrong making a cute face or maybe even a scary one. Jazz it up by putting a light inside and watch him glow throughout the night. Embrace the season any way you can and be sure to post the finished product on Instagram.
Happy carving, collegiettes!
