Graduating Senior, Victoria Dean, is a Stockton student from Manahawkin, NJ, studying psychology with a double minor in Holocaust and Genocide studies and Childhood studies.
Victoria came to Stockton because of the location and because of the amazing opportunities Stockton offers to students who can’t afford school, such as the Educational Opportunity Fund Program (EOF). She also chose Stockton because of how beautiful the campus is. Â
Stockton has a family atmosphere. She loves how she can walk onto campus and automatically feel the love and warmth from all of the students and faculty; the idea that everyone cares so much is a rewarding feeling for Victoria!Â
Victoria is an Orientation Leader, a member of T.A.L.O.N.S, the Activity Leader of New Students, the student coordinator for the Parent & Family association, the coordinator for Alternative Spring Break, a member of the Campus Hearing Board, and a student worker in the Office of Student Development. While she does so much at school, she does enjoy meeting celebrities and going to conventions too.Â
As a coordinator of Alternative Spring Break, she gets to take part in something bigger than herself. The most rewarding part for her is being able to build a future for a family that really needs it. She gets to help build their home.
Graduating can be very scary but Victoria seems to have it all planned out. She will be receiving her Masters in Student Affairs in Higher Education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She will also be completing an assistantship at St. Vincent College as the Graduate Coordinator of Student Activities. In five years she hopes to have her first position at a college or University.Â
As it comes down to her final few days at Stockton University, I had Victoria reflect on her freshman year and asked her to give her freshman self some advice. This is what she said: “I realized that at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks. If you are happy, then keep doing whatever it is you’re doing, because it IS the right move.”
As you are about to Graduate, the girls at Her Campus wish you good luck with your future endeavors and keep doing what you love. Congrats on making it through your college career!
