As someone who has struggled with hormonal acne for years, I am excited to say that after using Sweet Chef products my skin has improved for the better. Normally when I walk into makeup stores, I tell the workers that I have “combination” skin, leading them to recommend products that either leave my skin oily or too dry to the point where it burns. This is not anyone’s fault; it has just been hard to find the right products that work for me. Â
Like Sweet Chef, I am a firm believer that skincare does not just involve products, but also healthy habits including proper sleep, a healthy diet, hydration, and low-stress levels. Products work in addition to all these things, like the “icing” on the cake. Â
Carrot Ginger Rescue Blemish Patches
When I first received the Sweet Chef goodies, I was so excited because I have always wanted to try an acne patch. I was hoping a cystic zit would pop up just so I could try one and little to behold, one did! I put the patch on that night and the swelling around my zit was gone the next morning when I took the patch off. Within a couple of days, the zit had begun the healing process and disappeared. And the best part; it left no red marks, patches, peeling skin, or scars.
Carrot Ginger Salicylic Acid Pore Cleanser
When I used the cleanser, I instantly felt clean and refreshed. It helped clear any pus out of my pimples after a couple of washes and left my skin looking bright. On top of the clean feeling, it smells natural. Â
Although my skin is a work in progress, I am glad I found products that I am comfortable using, and that my skin does not get irritated by. I am excited to explore more products that Sweet Chef has. All Sweet Chef products are vegan and Leaping Bunny certified cruelty-free, meaning that the products are 100% free of any animal testing. By the way, the packaging and designs are super cute!Â
