Why is Easter so Early?

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Stonehill chapter.

If you are wondering why Easter falls so early this year you are not alone. Many people have been wondering for years why the date of Easter changes so much year to year and the answer is actually very simple! As you may or may not know the vernal equinox falls around March 20th every year and the date of Easter relies on this and the moon. The date of Easter is simply the first full moon after the vernal equinox!! This year the full moon came very early, on March 23!!! This is the recepie for a very early Easter! So make sure your carrots are out and your baskets are ready for this Sunday!
