How did you get invovled with the History Society?
I got involved in my second year of university by joining the Facebook page after the then President sent an email round all the History Students.
What does the History Society do?
It is a place for History students to come and voice their issues and through help from their peers find the answers they want. Be it issues with the department, course-work, exams, timetabling etc. But it isn’t all doom and gloom students can also post links to historical things they find interesting in the hope of generating debate.
What are the aims of the History Society?
The aim is to help each other so there is a happier History department but it’s also for historical discussion.
How long has the History Society been running?
I think it’s been running for four years, although Si the ex-President will probably correct me.
How does one get involved?
You can find us by searching for the Strathclyde History Society on facebook and we’ll add you in.Â
