What are your interests?
My interests are fairly typical of the average arts student. I enjoy singing, dancing, watching movies, painting, writing novel and poetry, and reading as well. While I may be better at some of my interests than others, they bring me to another world – a place for me to escape.
If your life was made into a movie, who would play you?
Even though she’s way shorter than I am, I would pick Scarlett Johansson. Everything about her as an actress makes her my ideal choice. Besides, have you seen her? It’s a no brainer.
What are you planning on being for Halloween?
I was going to be Captain America or The Winter Soldier, but I have to wear my glasses 24/7. As disappointing as that is, I’ve decided to be a flapper for Halloween. Big curls, red lips, and an outfit from probably the most aesthetically pleasing decade – what more could you want?
What’s your favourite movie?
How does a film fanatic choose a favourite movie…? They don’t. Nevertheless, my favourite movie as of late is Atonement. Not only is the story beautifully crafted, but the score is something that I could listen to on repeat for hours!
If you could be on any reality TV show, which one would it be?
Is MasterChef Junior an acceptable answer? If not, I guess I’d probably go on Wipeout. Go big or go home.
Where do you see yourself in ten years?
I really want to be a teacher – influence the next generation and all – but I also want to write novels. I see myself in a cozy house with a library that has floor-to-ceiling shelves and teaching for a living. Above all, I want to be content with all that I have.
Who is your biggest influence in your life?
I cannot say there is anyone who is the biggest influence in my life. I take the pieces of everyone around me that I like, love, and admire so I may use them to better myself; however, I won’t lie, had you asked ten to 12-year old Ayla this question, she would have said Hilary Duff in a heartbeat…
If you could change anything from the past in history, what would you change?
I don’t think I would change anything. Not that there aren’t things that I wish I could change for there are plenty… I believe that, if I were to change something in history, it would just be delayed rather than be erased and removed from history completely. You can throw a rock into a pond to create a ripple, but the current will always correct the water’s surface.
