Hello and happy new (school) year to our STU collegiettes!
My name is Emma Chapple, and I am the Editor-in-Chief of Her Campus St. Thomas University, STU’s own Her Campus chapter. It’s hard to believe that this time last year, Her Campus STU was just a dream of mine. But after some hard work and lots of dedication, we’re now going into our second semester! How time flies!
You might be asking yourself, what is Her Campus?
Her Campus is the #1 online community for university women, with over 200 chapters around the world. By having a Her Campus chapter, STU is joining a global community that includes schools like Harvard, Oxford, McGill, and UCLA. Her Campus is by and for college women – all of our content is written by students at St. Thomas (we like to call them ‘collegiettes’).
Thanks to the amazing Her Campus STU team, our first semester was a success. From our Launch Party to our coverage of the Morgentaler Clinic closure, we came in with a bang. We even earned a Gold chapter ranking! But this year, we’re aiming to be bigger and better than ever.
We are committed to giving STU a fun, honest, and accessible online hub. Whether you’re just procrastinating late at night, checking out the latest the Campus Cuties, or want to dive into some serious topics, Her Campus STU will have a place for you.
I’m excited for the year ahead, and am in the process of planning a ton of fun things with our Her Campus team.
Our goal is to make Her Campus a fixture at STU, and with a hard-working team and a loyal readership, it’s definitely in our reach. But if we want to reach our goal, we need feedback. That’s where you come in!
Have questions or concerns about Her Campus? Tell us! We want to give you quality content – and you decide what quality is.
For now, be sure to follow Her Campus STU on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest, and stay tuned for some exciting things in the year ahead!
Have Fun & Stay Young,
Emma
