Boston Calling, the semi-annual music festival that takes place downtown in City Hall Plaza, will be returning this fall from September 5th-7th. After posting all about the spring show (taking place May 23rd-25th), we are so excited to be able to announce another amazing lineup so soon!
This year’s show is going to be awesome! Grammy award winning pop sensation Lorde will be headlining, as well as The National, who headlined the first ever Boston Calling last year. The band’s songwriter, Aaron Dessner, is actually part of the festival’s curating team each year. Also joining us will be The Replacements, who are making their first return to Boston since 1991. Rap legend Nas will be playing a set with The Roots. I’m personally excited to see Volcano Choir, which is Bon Iver’s other band. Also, The 1975 and Twenty One Pilots are up and coming bands that will be a blast to see in City Hall Plaza.
