Up and coming hip-hop artist, Gerald Gillum, better known by his stage name G-Eazy, recently launched his fourth album, These Things Happen. The rapper from Oakland, CA started his career with a group called Bad Boyz that released songs through their MySpace page. Today, some of his most popular songs such as “Runaround Sue,” which features musician Greg Banks, has nearly four million views on YouTube. G-Eazy began his tour last month and made his way over to Paradise Rock Club in Boston this past Saturday. The show featured other fairly new artists such as Rockie Fresh and Tory Lanez.Â
It’s clear that the rapper has come a long way. His first Boston show was at the Middle East Club in Cambridge, and now he was able to sell out his latest show at Paradise Rock Club two months in advance, where huge names have performed.
During Saturday’s show, he performed some of his best known songs including “Lady Killers,” “Marilyn,” “Loaded,” and other newer tracks such as “Tumblr Girls” and” I Meant It.”  G-Eazy associates with Skizzy Mars and Hoodie Allen, and will definitely be gaining more fame in the hip-hop world over the next few years.
