What is something a lot of people don’t know about you?
I get to work at all my favorite teams’ games – Sox pats B’s and C’s
What company(ies) do you work for in sports broadcasting?
I work football on CBS and Fox mostly, but I’ve also done Sox, Bruins and Celtics games and a couple of golf tournaments each summer.
What is your role?
I work as a utility so I have to do a lot of the physical labor like laying out cables around the stadium, helping build cameras and moving a ton of cases around. And during the game, I’m with the handheld cameras on the field holding the part of the 250 foot cable.
How many superbowls have you been to?
This is the third Super Bowl I’ve been to, and the second that I’ve worked at. I went to Super Bowl XLIV in Tampa with my dad and I worked Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans as well.
What has been your favorite sports event that you’ve worked?
My favorite event that I’ve worked at has to be the 2013 World Series when the Sox won it. Super Bowls are really cool and have more cameras, cables, equipment, etc. than any other event, but getting to watch the Sox win the World Series at Fenway and being on the field after was awesome.
What was your Super Bowl 50 experience like?
It was a lot of fun and a lot of work. More equipment and cables than any event that I’ve worked, even previous Super Bowls, but I was with a great group of guys who are all some of the best at their position so it was a great experience working with them. Only thing that sucked was watching the Broncos win.
Anything else you’d like to add?
Nothing other than I look forward to finishing up at Suffolk and continuing to work my way into the sports tv world.
