Between work, school, friends and family time, appointments, commuting, and all of the other day-to-day hassles, who has the time to stop and shop at the grocery store when you run out of the essentials?
Well, fret no longer, because Stop and Shop’s Peapod service is now extending its business even further… into the MBTA system! Within the next couple of weeks, Peapod.com will be placing fifteen digital shopping displays at various commuter rail station platforms. You can shop while waiting for your train by choosing the items you need most. Within a day, the groceries will be delivered to your front door – hassle free!
How these “virtual grocery stores” work is through an app on your cell phone. Simply register at peapod.com, and download the PeapodMobile app.
Next, at the virtual shopping display at the commuter rails, scan the QR on the billboards, and start shopping by scanning the bar codes of the products displayed on the screen. From coffee and toilet paper, to fruits and condiments, the digital grocery stores let you shop it all!
Talk about easy and convenient!
Massachusetts is not the only place “hopping on the train” with this socially essential service. More than 100 signs will go up between Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., and Chicago.
It’s as easy as that, so be on the look out for a Peapod virtual grocery store coming soon to a train station near you!
