1. Best Sweet Snack: Sweet Waffles + Boba

If you’re looking to satisfy your sweet tooth, Sweet Waffles + Boba is the place to go. Grab one of their signature, handcrafted Belgian waffle pops (all flavors are under $6) and something to drink. They serve everything from lemonades to coffee. You won’t be disappointed!

2. Best Ice Cream: Taiyaki NYC in Boston

Who wouldn’t want to snap a pic of one of these legendary fish-shaped cones (all flavors priced at only $8)? Head to Taiyaki NYC in Boston for an ice cream experience you’ll never forget. They offer classic flavors such as vanilla and chocolate in addition to unique flavors like matcha green tea. You can also build your own ice cream by personalizing it with syrups and toppings.

3. Best Italian Food: Terra

Located on the third floor of Eataly in the Prudential Center, Terra offers the best, most authentic, earthy Italian dishes in the city. The atmosphere is absolutely Instagrammable, with hanging plants and greenery everywhere. For dinner, I recommend the “spaghetti al Pomodoro affumicato” ($18). It will be the best pasta you’ve ever eaten in your life, guaranteed.

4. Best BBQ: The Smoke Shop by Andy Husbands

With locations in Kendall Square, Seaport, and Assembly Row, there’s no excuse not to indulge in the best BBQ you’ll ever eat. The mac & cheese bites (pictured, $12) with bacon and kale are to die for, and they serve the best cornbread I’ve ever had.

5. Best Brunch: South Street Diner

Home to some of the best breakfast in Boston, South Street Diner is serving it up old school. If you can, I recommend getting a seat at the bar, where you can watch the line cooks flip pancakes and put together plates.

6. Best Coffee Shop: The Thinking Cup

From scones to croissants to macarons, it’s almost impossible to pick just one snack to accompany your coffee. The Thinking Cup has a hole-in-the-wall vibe, and their friendly staff serves some of the best coffee I’ve ever had. Try adding one of their house-made syrups to your drink. My favorite is the honey cinnamon!

7. Best Tacos: Yellow Door Taqueria

Not only is the infamous yellow door the perfect place to snap a cute photo for Instagram, but the food is amazing, too. With tacos starting from only $4, you can’t go wrong. I also recommend getting a side of the house-made chips and salsa ($4).

8. Best Pizza: Blaze Pizza

Blaze Pizza offers to build your own, thin-crust, wood-fired personal pizza pies that will make your mouth water. My favorite it the Margherita pizza (pictured above). They have four locations all over Boston, including Cambridge and Fenway.

9. Best Seafood: Atlantic Fish Co.

If you just got your paycheck and you’re looking for somewhere to treat yourself, Atlantic Fish Co. is the place to go for the best seafood in Boston. The classic shrimp scampi ($21) is arguably the best item on the menu. You can’t skip dessert here, either, because the house-made Boston cream pie ($9) is the best in the city.
