SU Dance Corps put on a beautiful showcase on April 1st in Weber Chapel. The audience was filled with parents of performers, friends, students, faculty, and some accepted students and their families. The theme of this year’s showcase was “Raising the Barre” because the performances were more advanced and the choreographers bought a fresh perspective to their respective genre of dance. With a line-up of 27 dances, the show only lasted 2 ½ hours and consisted of pointe, hip hop, jazz, theater, solos, a small group, and many more routines within various genres. The dancers were all excited to display their hard work that began in September. The energy maintained itself throughout the whole performance and the audience enjoyed the show as well. Now that the showcase is over, many of the dancers are excited to rest for a little while, but look forward to diving back into their passions in August 2017 to prepare for the next showcase. As they say, “The Show Must Go On!”
