After a long summer we all feel so overwhelmed with coming back to school and always keeping track of what’s due and when exams are. Here are three ways to have an organized and fun semester, because simply stressing about it won’t get you anywhere.
1. ALWAYS and I mean always have a planner with you. Keep everything inside it. For instance, if you know exam dates in advance, jot it in your planner. The earlier, the better so you know exactly what you have to do each day. Try sorting your tasks by easy, medium, and hard. You can also include some social tasks, such as getting lunch with someone or watching a movie. Don’t forget to scratch things off when you get them done. Trust me it feels so good when you do.
2. Don’t forget to do some yoga. In order to have an organized and fun semester you need to be relaxed and what better way to do so than doing yoga to get your mind off of all the stress. Yoga has the power to give you inner strength in a way you couldn’t imagine. I’m talking from experience; Yoga for Stress Relief got me through a panic attack when I got so overwhelmed with one hard semester.
3. Have some “me” time. In other words having some time alone, whether its just chilling in your room, watching movies and eating pizza all day, spending a day at the beach, getting a drink with your friends, or going shopping and spending all your money. After a rough week you need a day to yourself in order to get recharged again. Pamper yourself because when you feel good from the inside, you start being very active from the outside.
Finally, the semester is going to end before you know it and you’ll be getting ready for Christmas break. Always remember to breathe and know that everything is going to be okay no matter how stressed you are. You are going to get stuff done anyways, so why get overwhelmed when you can enjoy the semester. Just remember to be organized and relaxed by balancing out your school work, social time and some “me” time. Remember fall is the best time of the year. It’s everything-pumpkin-season, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and soon enough Christmas. I know schoolwork can be so much to take in, but look at the bright side, it shall pass. I hope you all have a great semester :)
