For years when people ask me what type of book I’m reading, I tell them it’s a “Rom Com”, because essentially it has romance with plenty of humor! Turns out the genre I’ve been reading is actually called a “Chick Lit”. Now what is this exactly? And why did I not know of this fun word earlier!?
Chick Lit’s are fiction novels that address the issues of modern women in a lighthearted and humorous manner. Although they do often include romantic elements, the focus is just as much on the heroine’s relationship with friends and family. They are also my key to happiness and getting through a long day! I want to share my obsession with everyone so I’ve made a list of a few of my favorite “Chit Lit” novels that are must reads to get you through the long holidays or just a break from school and real life.
