The Best Places to Drink in Disney

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Tampa chapter.

My favorite place on earth is no doubt Disney World. As I recently have become an annual pass holder, as well as turned 21, there are so many places in Disney I can now venture to. Here are my top places to take a sip at in Disney.

1) Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto

This is hands down my favorite place ever. Located at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, this hidden oasis is a spectacular escape from children running around. The drinks are delicious, the waiters act like skippers from the jungle cruise, and there’s a fabulous outside porch with live music. While there has always been a two-hour wait from the moment they open, it is so entirely worth it for the atmosphere alone. I recommend the Hippopotamai tai.

2) Abracadabar

A bar with magic? Sign me up! This place is located on Disney’s Boardwalk and provides spellbound cocktails that won’t leave you dizzy, but the crazy mirrors in the place will! I recommend the Seashore Sweet.

3) Hollywood Studios

The park offers mini bars in select areas all over. Aside from regular spirits, they also offer seasonal cocktails as well. I was just there for Halloween and indulged in a candy corn margarita! Next time you’re in the park, I definitely recommend seeing what they have brewing!

4) Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar

Located in Disney Springs, this Indiana Jones themed bar is an out of Disney experience. You don’t feel as though this is the land of the mouse. It’s got a more adult vibe, with great food and drink, plus you don’t have to pay to get in because Disney Springs is free! I recommend the German Mechanic.

5) Beaches & CreamIf you’re anything like me, you like dessert with a drink, which is why Beaches & Cream is one of my favorite places on earth. You can get an alcoholic milkshake and hard floats. I recommend the Tropical Sunrise Float.

Next time you’re in Disney, I highly recommend trying one of these places out if you’re 21! Drink responsibly and have a blast!
