We all become a victim of laziness a couple of days a week. Sometimes life just drains you so much that you need a few recovery days stationed on the couch in front of a tv. It’s a comfort thing, right? Television, film, and media aren’t the worst things to do while taking a break from life’s constant obstacles. If you find yourself feeling bad that you only watched movies and shows all day, don’t, and I’ll tell you why.
In 1895, film was introduced, capturing the world’s attention. It was the first time people could see moving photos. Those photos transformed into a type of storying telling for entertainment. Film entertainment considerably affected audiences; It was something to look forward to and a new educational media.
Films always contain a few specific things, a storyline, characters, problems, and solutions. Most importantly, there is always a theme and moral in a film. Movies have these aspects because they will create an entertaining story. Not only entertaining but educational. People can learn a lot from watching movies. I am not talking about learning how to take after a bad guy. I am talking about learning from their mistakes, the resolutions, the planning to solve problems, and the themes. There is a lot to take in from all the aspects of films.
Movies’ storylines are based on life themes like love, survival, values, society, good vs. evil, and more. An audience will choose a movie based on the genre they like. Each type of genre will have lessons regarding the topics listed above. Have you ever watched a Disney production? Even though movies can hurt, they still make you feel something. There are always lows in movies, and that’s the only place to start to get back to the top.Â
Films and shows give their audience motivation. After watching an action movie, don’t you feel like you want to take on the world too? Or a powerful drama, don’t you feel like you want to stand up for yourself too? That’s the effect of watching and taking in these storylines. They are good for seeing these experiences so you can learn how to deal with similar events when the time comes.Â
