It’s officially November, and to me (and most of us) that basically means Christmas. My favorite time of the year! I am going to be honest, 2020 has been a BEAST and speaking for myself my mind is not in a good place right now. I think I can speak for all of us right now too. Amidst this election and wrapping up this already stressful year and fall semester, it’s hard to look forward to a bright future let alone a bright last two months of the year.
I made a blog post the other day about how each day I choose joy (or try to). I think that mindset and those choices are super important for now and for all times in our lives. I take moments in my day to realize what I have and I find small moments of joy that help me to reconnect with myself. Speaking of joy, I think it’s important to find those moments of holiday & Christmas joy just to keep the spirit alive. I admit, it is hard for me at the moment, but I am trying and you should too! Here is what I have been doing so far and what you can try!
-
Lighting Candles
-
By bath bombs and take bath
-
Spoiled myself and bought Christmas undies
-
Fuzzy socks
-
I began searching for gifts for my loved ones! (Giving is my favorite thing to do)
-
Find recipes of things you want to make for the holidays! (Pinterest always has awesome ideas!)
-
Watch Christmas movies on certain nights to end your day!
-
Christmas music- this one is always a cure for me!
Find those moments to be with yourself and tune in with your mind. It’s okay. You are not in this battle alone. Find your own moments of joy and don’t lose the joy of this season! I’d love to hear what you all are doing as well!
