Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year. You get to dress up and eat candy, say less! And while I may be biased towards chocolate candies, here are my top five Halloween candies!
5. Bottle Caps
These just might be some of the most underrated candies of all time. The crunchy candy comes in five different flavors based on different sodas and is extremely good. While some may be super sour (sorry to all the cherry lovers out there, but the cherry flavor has to be my least favorite), my personal favorites are the rootbeer and orange-flavored candies. However, these are super sugary, so I suggest learning from my mistakes and not eating too many of these!Â
4. Whoppers
If you’ve never heard of these candies before, I don’t blame you. They are malted milk balls—crunchy on the inside with a chocolate coating—that are delicious! The only downside is that the packages they are usually in and handed out on Halloween come in a pack of three. I need more! Just be sure to have water or milk because they can get super chocolatey at times!
3. Milky Ways
These cosmic candy bars are truly out of this world. I don’t know what makes up the middle part of the chocolate bar, but it sure is good! The only downside is that chocolate melts fast, so if you have some in a warm place, make sure to refrigerate it (or eat it all super fast).Â
2. Kit-Kat Bars
Now, this may be controversial for how high up on my list it is, but I firmly believe that you cannot go wrong with Kit-Kat bars. Is it just a wafer with a chocolate coating? Yes, but it’s a classic and you can’t go wrong with that. Even the white chocolate version of Kit-Kats is amazing.Â
And finally… the best Halloween candy (in my opinion) is…Â
1. Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups (specifically the pumpkin ones)
This sweet treat has always, and will always, be my favorite candy. The peanut butter and chocolate combo is just too good to resist! I don’t know how or why, but the pumpkin-shaped ones just taste better too (if anyone has scientific evidence to back this up, I would love to hear it). The sad part about these is that once I get some, they are gone. They’re just too irresistible!Â
The good thing about all of these candies, however, is that you can get them year-round! So yes, I will be going to the stores the days following Halloween to stock up on some of my favorite treats for a lower price in case anyone was wondering.Â
Have a safe and fun Halloween everyone!
