The word “chakra” derives from the Sanskrit word for “wheel”. The simple definition of chakras is that they are energy centers found throughout the body. The concept of chakras originated in Ancient India and dates back from 1500 to 1000 BC. The seven main chakras are:  

đź”´ Root Chakra:

  • Location: Base of Spine 
  • Color: Red
  • Represents: Safety, Security, Basic Needs

đźź  Sacral Chakra:

  • Location: Below the Navel 
  • Color: Orange 
  • Represents: Sexuality, Pleasure, Creativity 

🟡 Solar Plexus Chakra:

  • Location: Stomach 
  • Color: Yellow 
  • Represents: Confidence, Self-Worth, Potential 

🟢Heart Chakra:

  • Location: Chest 
  • Color: Emerald Green 
  • Represents: Love, Compassion for Oneself and Others

🔵 Throat Chakra:

  • Location: Throat 
  • Color: Blue 
  • Represents: Speech, Ability to Communicate, Self-Expression 

🟣 Third Eye Chakra:

  • Location: Between the Eyebrows 
  • Color: Indigo 
  • Represents: Wisdom, Intuition, Insight 

đź‘‘Crown Chakra:

  • Location: Top of The Head
  • Color: Purple 
  • Represents: Spirituality, Higher Self
