I think it’s finally safe to put away the sweaters and pull out the shorts because spring is upon us! And it’s about time, because I’m sure I speak for all of us in saying that we are so over College Station’s bipolar winter weather (sunny and 75 one day, then snow the next, ammiright?) With the arrival of nice spring weather comes the spring fashion. Now that it’s post fashion week, we’re finally getting an idea of what to wear this spring and summer. However, a lot of the trends seen on the runways in New York, London, Paris and Milan may be a little too out there to flaunt on your typical day here in Aggieland. Plus, if you’re like me, you definitely can’t afford the latest Chanel (or any Chanel for that matter). That doesn’t mean you have to ditch those 2015 Fashion Week trends, though! By integrating these runway styles into an everyday wardrobe that works for you, you’ll fall nothing short of Cara Delevinge or Kendall Jenner–they rocked the runway this season. Get inspired by a few of the favorite 2015 spring Fashion Week trends to get your wardrobe ready for this spring and summer!
The 70’s are back!
This is good news for all of you inner hippies. Everything from floor sweeping sheers to fringe, suede and embroidery are your best friends this season! Embrace the effortless and cool bohemian styles.
Hop into a jumpsuit!
Then “JUMP AROUND!” The cool thing about jumpsuits is they come in so many different styles, and they are effortless. You can dress them up or dress them down, but either way you’re sure to drop ’em dead in your sexy onesie!
The Timeless Denim
I don’t think denim will ever go out of style, but the fun part of wearing denim in 2015 is you can wear it for almost any piece of clothing–shirts, skirts, dresses, overalls, jumpsuits, jackets, and of course the jeans!
Gingham Style!
And not the song, the pattern! Gingham dominated the runways of Fashion Week. Unlike the dance, there’s really no wrong way to gingham style (big, small; pants, dress), just as long as you wear it!
Not Your 2014 Kimono
The runways this year flaunted more of a traditional Japanese kimono, but they couldn’t be more chic! Anything from a trench kimono to a sleeveless one is more than in; or my favoite, which would be the kimono you wear as a wrap around dress!
The Cool Culottes
You may have to look up the pronunciation, but these culottes hit the runway in many of my favorite designers’ shows. They’re the pants that are literally cool enough to wear in Texas heat, and they are super stylish!
