This list is in no particular order. Let’s eat some tacos.

  1. Fuego

I know I said this was in no particular order, but Fuego just happens to be my personal favorite, so it deserves the number one spot. Considering it is open 24 hours a day 6 days a week, Fuego offers optimal convenience for quality prices. My personal favorites include the Green Chile Mac & Cheese taco and the I-chee-wa-wa taco. Fuego’s menu hits all the flavors and definitely hits the spot during a late night taco run.

  1. Taqueria Puro Potosino – ILCB Food Truck

There’s just something so satisfying about getting some tacos from the taco truck sitting outside the ILCB after just barely making it through my Chemistry lecture. It’s like a reward. Taqueria Puro Potosino is definitely my favorite place to grab food on campus.

  1. Torchy’s

Torchy’s is a Texas classic, and the queso is personally the best I’ve tried. No matter what taco you order from Torchy’s, make sure to “get it trashy” for some cheesy goodness. I’m getting hungry thinking about their Trailer Park taco.

  1. Velvet Taco

Velvet Taco being a walkable distance from campus is honestly pretty dangerous for my wallet, but I absolutely love their non-traditional taco flavors. The Nashville Hot Tofu taco makes me love tofu, which isn’t an easy feat. This taco has all the flavors of a classic Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich wrapped in a warm, fluffy tortilla. Plus, it’s vegetarian.

  1. Coco Loco

Last but not least, a College Station favorite: Coco Loco. Coco Loco is the best spot for some breakfast tacos and has that homey feeling everyone loves. The green salsa is just magnificent, but nothing beats the sense of community you feel as you walk into the restaurant. If you’re looking for quality service and authentic flavors, Coco Loco is the place.
