I used to be clueless

Last August, I decided to adopt a cat on a whim. I had always wanted a cat who was a little bit spicy and unpredictable, and it’s safe to say that’s exactly what I got. It wasn’t until later, however, that I realized different breeds and coat patterns correspond with different personality types. So if you’re interested in adopting a cat, here are some personality facts!

Tortoiseshell cats

Tortoiseshell cats are known for their attitude, also known as “tortitude.” They are spicy, talkative, and demanding, but they are fiercely devoted to their humans.

Bengal cats

Bengal cats are affectionate and playful. They require a lot of attention, as they are very active and smart.

Persian cats

Persian cats are more relaxed, gentle beings. They are incredibly independent, and love to take in the action from afar.

Abyssinian cats

Abyssinian cats are very curious and intelligent. They are also very trainable, meaning they can learn tricks fairly easily.

Sphynx cats

Also known as hairless cats, sphynx cats are the cleanest breed out there. They are very affectionate and love to cuddle.

Ginger cats

Ginger cats are incredibly social and playful. Although they are not the best choice for a lap cat, ginger cats are still very affectionate in their own way.

Black cats

Black cats get a bad wrap, but they’re actually very loving and loyal. Moreover, their cuddly personalities make for great lap cats.

Tuxedo cats

Tuxedo cats are independent and warmhearted, and they crave the company of their loved ones.

in summary

Each cat is unique in their own way, so be sure to do your research and adopt a cat that will fit your lifestyle. And most importantly, have fun with your new furry friend!
