COLLEGE STATION, Oct 28, 2022 – Texas A&M Aggie Football plays the Ole Miss Rebels this Saturday, the 29th, at 6:30 PM CST. With a 3-4 season, the Aggies are entering Week 9 of the College Football season with a string of disappointing losses under their belt.

The football team was last ranked in Week 5, over a month ago, after the 23-21 win against Arkansas. Texas A&M was ranked 17 afterwards and in Week 6, lost against Mississippi State with a score of 24-42. Mississippi State was unranked at the time of the game and since then, Texas A&M has not been able to win a game. The disheartening game was followed by a loss at Alabama, the consistently high-ranking team that Texas A&M won against last year in a history-making game. Last weekend added another loss in the game against South Carolina.

Tonight, the Aggies play at home again after a series of away losses. With the remaining schedule left for the football team, Texas A&M does not have many opportunities to change the script over what the team has to offer. As of right now, the only teams left for A&M to play that are currently ranked are Ole Miss at 15 and LSU, the last game of the season, at 18. Of course, LSU’s ranking is bound to change before the teams meet up on November 26th. Nevertheless, this game against Ole Miss is important for Aggie Football.

After last week’s shoulder injury, it is not completely known if starting quarterback Haynes King will be playing in tonight’s game. Connor Weigman, the freshman five-star recruit, entered the South Carolina game after the injury and completed 8 out of his 15 passes. Along with struggles that the team’s offensive line has had, this will be a tough game to watch, let alone win.
