Graduation isn’t that far away and finding locations to take your graduation photos can be stressful if you don’t have a game plan set. Before I had my grad photos done, I did intense research of where I would like to take photos at including where the best parking is for these locations. Here’s a brief list of some of the top places Texas A&M students prefer to take photos at on campus.
Jack K. William Administration Building
This building is iconic for its huge and beautiful pillars. You might have seen them before from driving by or scrolling through Instagram. It’s located on 400 Bizzell St, College Station near the Commons dormitory so you’ll most likely find parking near the building itself, but it’s better to be safe than sorry so I would suggest finding parking where you have to pay or are able to use your parking pass. When I took photos here, we paid for parking at the golf field’s parking lot. I would suggest going early to get the photos done because this spot tends to get popular, especially near the end of the semester.
Kyle Field Stadium
Kyle Field is a staple point for any senior graduating. It’s a special place where you’ve attended home games during the fall with fellow Aggies cheering for their favorite team. This stadium holds memories of all kinds so why wouldn’t you want your photos taken here? There are multiple spots to pose for photos outside the stadium. Most people prefer posing in front of the 12th Man Statue where you can see the Home Of The 12th Man stated.
Albritton Bell Tower
Located at 200 Old Main Dr, College Station near the Simpson Drill Field, you’ll find colorful flowers planted around the tower that make for a great background when doing photos. In the middle of the tower, you’ll find that you are able to stand directly beneath the bell. Depending on where you stand, you’ll be able to get the Academic Building in the background which makes the photo even more special.
Academic Building
Speaking of the Academic Building, it’s another great spot for taking photos. Similar to the Administration Building, the Academic Building has a breathtaking exterior with trees decorated from each side. The Academic Building is one of the first buildings you learn about on guided college tours and it’s a building that you’ll see constantly throughout your years at Texas A&M.
Military Walk
The Military Walk is directly in front of the Academic Building. There are several spots you can do photos. The Military Walk is bordered with many trees and potted flowers. There are many standing points that, with the perfect angle, capture the whole perimeter of this part of Texas A&M.
Your Major’s Main Building
Another great place to capture your time at Texas A&M is posing for photos outside or inside the building of your major. If you think about it, this is the building where you probably shed blood, sweat, and tears for all the hard work you did to make it to this point in your life.
Lastly, I would like to say that these photos are more than just posing beautifully in front of buildings; these photos are representing your time in college. It’s capturing the blissfulness of finally making it to graduation so make them count in the way you want them to.
