Self-care is an art and just like any art form, you have to figure out what works best for you. Self-care could be anything from a movie night at home to a face mask and even planning ahead for yourself. I’m a huge advocate for self-care, especially during a tough semester, so I’ve compiled a list of all my favorite things that help me get through!Â

Bath and Body Works Candle
My Dad is a firefighter so I was never allowed to have candles as a kid. Now that I live with my fiancĂ©, I’m OBSESSED with lighting candles. Bath and Body Works is a fabulous one-stop (affordable) shop for all your scented needs. With it being Fall, there are endless choices of candles from feminine florals to masculine woody scents. My personal favorite is Mahogany Teakwood!
Â
Fuzzy Blanket (duh!)
My best friend got me the softest blanket from Project 62 for my birthday and I’ve been carrying it around with me everywhere like a five year old. It can be found at your local Target, which gives you a great excuse to wander in there!
Â
Study Group
Whether you choose to meet weekly or monthly, having a reliable study group provides such a huge peace of mind. Even if you don’t already know people in your class, you can easily message them through Blackboard! You could help each other on projects, exchange notes on readings, and even just to make sure that you are all on the same page with assignments.Â
Â
CBD Products
You can use CBD products for anything, from anxiety to back pain, and even to help you sleep at night. After I realized how horrible SSRIs made me feel, I turned to CBD oil to see if it would help me manage my anxiety. Three years later, it still works wonders for me! I’ve tried dozens of oils and my favorite by far is Trublu’s mint tincture. No long absorption times, no yucky taste, no drowsiness, and no THC. I love CBD gummies as well! The best ones I’ve tried come from a health and wellness brand FNX. I truly don’t believe that I would have survived finals week without these little bears. I love them so much that I even secured you a discount code. Using code “TJMP” at check out will save you a bit!
Â
Planner
I can’t stress how important it is to use a planner, especially this semester! With no professors or classmates to remind you of due dates, it’s vital that you have a place to write down all those important notes for yourself. While any planner would pretty much do it, The Happy Planner is a cute, affordable, maintainable option! You can even buy extra sheets and accessories to go in it as the year goes on.Â
Â
Heating Pad Plushie
How could stuffed animals get any better, you say? Make them double as a heating pad! If you haven’t already, you must treat yourself to a heated snuggly buddy! Not too big and not too small, these perfect little plushies can transform into a heating pad in less than a minute. From cold winter nights to crampy days, this on the go heating pad is an adorable essential!
