Remember in 2015 when you’d stay up the night before school watching YouTube videos on cute hairstyles to do on yourself? It’s safe to say that era is back. When I walk to class or hangout with my friends, my over-observant self has noticed how many trendy claw clips and hair accessories have come back. Even just curling or straightening my hair feels boring nowadays. Thanks to Gracie Abrams, that nursing student from TikTok with gorgeous hair, and every color and shape of claw clips invented ever- here are some popular hair accessories to keep you involved in this hair accessories resurgence. 

  1. Hair bows

Hair bows are my new personality. I first noticed this new trend from the store Garage’s Ballerina Core collection, and yes, I did buy a pack of six pre-made ribbons for $20. With a ponytail, pigtails, or at the end of a braid, they really evaluate a look when 

you match colors. Now everyone tells me hair bows remind them of me, and it’s the best compliment ever. 

  1. Claw Clips

As mentioned before, there are a billion different claw clips now. Whether you get them from SHEIN or a fancy boutique, they are so convenient and stylish. I feel like it’s the new ponytail, quick and easy but very put together. 

  1. Fancy Ponytail Holders

Whatever you may call a ponytail holder, I no longer buy plain black ones. I keep buying packs that are extremely necessary to my everyday life, like my seven multicolor gummy bear hair ties that I wear shamelessly despite being 20 years old. Whether they’re crazy colors or accessorized with pearls and gems, non-basic hair ties are changing the game. 

  1. Butterfly Clips

These made a comeback a few years ago, but I still have packs I keep around. They’re so fun to style, whether it be at themed parties or just throw two on for fun to match your outfit. They’re quick and easy, and who doesn’t love a Y2K moment?

  1. Headbands

This one really brings me back to elementary school, but I kind of love it. Soft knit headbands, especially in neutral colors, add to that clean girl aesthetic to match the athleisure look. They make your outfit look put-together when it only takes a few seconds.
