Social media has played a large role in my life, especially as far as fashion and trends go. Being so young, finding my personal style has always been a struggle, trying to keep up with micro-trends and societal pressures. Through these four fashion and lifestyle influencers, I have recently been able to find what I like and have the confidence to wear it, regardless of trendiness and what others may think.
- Michaela Hedderman (@mjhedderman): Hedderman has shown me how to embrace color and individuality. Since following her, I have felt more inclined to pair more unlikely colors and step out of my comfort zone, AKA neutrals and basics. Hedderman has encouraged me to embrace my maximalist side and not care about what people will think when it comes to stand-out outfits.
- Cierra Nia (@simplycie): Cierra Nia has become an influencer I constantly look out for when I want a refreshing look. She is always posting interesting silhouettes, coordinating pieces, and less common pairings. Her style is so unique that she makes everyone else look underdressed. When looking for something to wear, I no longer fear being overdressed or being the odd one out.
- Isabelle Sung (@isaasung): Isabelle Sung perfectly styles basics and closet staples in ways that inspire me to try out new jean styles, patterns, bucket hats, monochromatic outfits, and more. Experimenting with street style, beachy elements, and common nightlife pieces, Sung always looks put together while still being unique.
- Luna Montana (@lunamontana): I have seen Luna Montana in many different looks and aesthetics, from cottage core western, edgy 2000s pop-rock, to nineties inspired. Her style is so versatile, inspiring me to never tie myself down to one aesthetic. Montana has motivated me to try elements of different styles that I can now adopt into my closet rotation.
